Safelist
YouTube for kids. Without Google's addictive algorithm, a community of parents.
YouTube for kids. Without the algorithm. Instead of Google's addictive algorithm, a community of parents chooses what your children watch. SafeList is a human layer on top of YouTube.
Why SafeList? It's Safe + Playlist. A playlist of safe videos.
The real question: safe from what?
Safe doesn't just mean "age-appropriate." YouTube Kids already filters for that.
Here, a "safe" video means one that passed a human filter - by parents, inside the community. One playlist at a time, together we're building the YouTube we chose - not the one Google chose for us.
